Amazon Echo

Amazon Echo is a speaker that is controlled by your voice alone. Echo connects to the Alexa Voice Service to play music, deliver information, news, sports results, weather forecasts, and much more.

Echo has seven microphones and directional beam technology, allowing it to hear you from the other side of the room—even in noisy environments or when music is playing. It also features an optimally tuned speaker that fills the room with 360° sound. To use Echo, simply say the activation word "Alexa," and it will respond. Spotify and TuneIn can also be operated with your voice. Echo supports Bluetooth, enabling you to stream popular music services from your smartphone or tablet.

Echo works with Smart Home devices such as lamps, light switches, thermostats, and others from WeMo, Philips Hue, Netatmo, Home Connect, Innogy, Tp-link, Magenta SmartHome, and Tado°.

Echo now supports IFTTT (If This, Then That). With this third-party program, you can create rules (also called applets) that automate the interaction of your apps, devices, and websites.
