Alphacool Icicle PRO Connection 13mm HardTube Fitting G1/4

The new Eiszapfen PRO HardTube fittings from Alphacool are an evolution of the well-known Eiszapfen. In developing these fittings, Alphacool specifically focused on a particular problem: the deformation of PETG HardTubes at high temperatures. These can start to deform at just 60 °C. Although such temperatures are generally rare, they can still occur. The Eiszapfen PRO fittings prevent this issue from the outset and keep the tubes in place. Deformation is prevented by the new nylon inserts inside, which stabilize the HardTubes.

Furthermore, the fitting still features an O-ring and a compression seal. However, the contact surface is much larger than that of standard O-rings, providing better grip. The use of the compression seal in the screw connection reinforces the tube from both the inside and outside. Even under higher loads, the HardTube does not shift. Alphacool has tested the tensile strength to be over 8 kg, so there’s no need to worry in this regard.
