The Alphacool Core Backplate is compatible with Eisbaer AIOs and XPX coolers from Alphacool, making them suitable for Intel's LGA 115X, 1200, and 1700 sockets.
The backplate is made of stainless steel and is covered on the back with an insulating plastic layer. The material composition of the backplate ensures that the CPU cooler is additionally stabilized and can be mounted with improved pressure on the socket. Overall, this leads to a significant improvement in cooling performance compared to the previously used plastic backplates. This effect is most noticeable with Intel's LGA 1700 socket. On the back of the backplate, there is an additional adhesive surface that serves as an installation aid, making the assembly much easier.
