Allen & Heath Zed-10

The ZED10 has a total of six channel strips; four mono and two stereo. The mono channels are equipped with XLR inputs for microphones and jack sockets. Channels 3 and 4 differ from the remaining channels by the high-impedance inputs (Guitar Hi Z) for instruments with pickups. All microphone inputs can be globally supplied with phantom power. As far as the two stereo channels are concerned, the ZED10 provides a dual tone control without midband and a gain range that goes from silence to +15 dB. The first of the two stereo channels also provides RCA jacks.

Thanks to the USB interface, the mixer can be easily connected to a Windows computer or Mac. There's no need to worry about drivers, because the device is "plug and play" capable. The sampling rate can be set to 32, 44.1 or 48 kHz. If nothing is changed in the standard configuration of the mixer, the main mix signal from the mixer goes to the computer. However, the aux signal or the record bus can also be sent to the computer.
