The Ahead SPG-R features an innovative seat design that effectively addresses the issue of back pain for drummers. The seat of the Spinal Glide drum stool is divided into two parts, with each cushion having its own suspension, allowing for greater movement in the lower back and a more natural range of motion. This thoughtful concept provides relief for the hips, back, and shoulders. The idea behind the system is to enable a more natural movement for the spine. The Spinal Glide seat also relieves pressure on the tailbone, allowing it to "hang" naturally without being pressed against the seat. As expected from Ahead, the craftsmanship is of very high quality and aligns well with a modern aesthetic. The height adjustment for this model is done via a spindle. The three-legged design optimally utilizes freedom of movement without becoming wobbly while playing the drums.
