Military Protection
The HD680 meets the U.S. military standard MIL-STD-810G 516.6. It achieves this through a three-layer construction consisting of a shock-absorbing silicone case, a sturdy buffer, and a padded suspension for the hard drive. This results in an external hard drive that can withstand drops from up to 1.22 meters.
