Product details
The Sub12 is a powerful active subwoofer that extends the playback range of near- and midfield monitors down to 22 Hz.
A robust special woofer with a large excursion and a highly durable voice coil has been optimized for precise reproduction in a bass reflex enclosure. The downward-firing bass reflex port is designed to minimize disruptive wind noise through generous sizing and shaping. The PWM amplifier achieves an efficiency of over 90%, allowing even critical passages to be handled for extended periods without overheating. An additional output allows for the cascading of any number of subwoofers.
For medium to large control rooms, this subwoofer offers an excellent combination of low cutoff frequency (-3 dB at 22 Hz) and high undistorted sound pressure (115 dB SPL at 1 m).
All ADAM subwoofers feature differentiated options to adapt to the specific room or satellites.
There are controls for volume (-60 to +6 dB), phase switching (180°), and variable upper cutoff frequency of the subwoofer (50-150 Hz). A filter can be activated for the satellite outputs that blocks signals below 85 Hz, allowing for Dolby-compliant film sound reproduction and relieving the satellites from low frequencies. Additionally, the subwoofer can be manually turned on or off, or set to automatically activate when it receives signals (signal-on/continuous).
