Ferroelectric RAM (FRAM) is very similar to dynamic RAM, but with a ferroelectric layer instead of a dielectric one. The I²C FRAM breakout board is excellent for low-power applications or applications with unstable power supply for data logging or buffering. This FRAM chip features 32 kByte of memory and I²C interfaces with a clock frequency of up to 1 MHz. Like SRAM, each byte can be read and written immediately 10 trillion times and retains the memory for 95 years at room temperature. This chip can operate with a supply voltage and logic voltage of 3 V or 5 V. The memory is designed to be breadboard-friendly with a 2.54 mm pitch for soldering a pin header.
