Average charging times range from 30 to 180 minutes, depending on the capacity and condition of the batteries. Charging occurs at a constant voltage of up to 4.15 volts +/- 50mV for single-cell battery packs or up to 8.3 volts +/- 50mV for dual-cell battery packs. The design is very compact with interchangeable battery adapters. The package already includes a wide-range adapter (100-240 volts) and a 12-volt adapter for mobile charging. The charging dock is interchangeable, and additional adapters, such as those for digital cameras or camcorders, can be ordered or used.
