The front-mounted electronic time relays TEF4 are used for time control tasks that are independent of the control system and are available with response and release delays. TEF4 electronic time relays are mounted and locked on AF contactors or NF auxiliary contactors from the front. A mechanical display indicates the contactor status. TEF4 electronic time relays are powered via a parallel-connected direct connection to the coil terminals A1 A2 of the contactor or auxiliary contactor. To protect against surge voltages in the contactor coil, a varistor is integrated into the time relay. With TEF4-ON or TEF4-OFF, time-delayed functions of up to 100 seconds are possible in three different time ranges, regardless of the control system. The time delay ranges are selected via a switch, and the time delay is set using a rotary switch. The time control function is activated by closing or opening the device on which the time relay is mounted. The version with release delay operates without additional control voltage.
