Product details

T16 are economical electromechanical motor protection devices for currents up to 16 A. In the event of overload, they provide reliable thermal protection for the connected motors. T16 are typically mounted on small contactors B/BC or AS-/ASL contactors, but with the help of a standalone mounting kit, the devices can also be mounted separately on a DIN rail. When the motor current set on the current scale is exceeded, the relays trip via bimetallic elements, thereby changing the switching position of the two auxiliary contacts 1S/1Ö. A pre-connected contactor is then switched off. The relays allow for manual or automatic reset, and feature test and stop functions, as well as a tripped indicator. An additional reset button allows operation without opening the control cabinet. T16 have a tripping class of 10, are temperature compensated, and are sensitive to phase failure.
