The RV5/50 is a varistor surge protection device designed to reduce the maximum surge voltage peak value and to limit or even completely eliminate high pre-voltage frequencies when used with an AC-operated conventional relay for a control circuit nominal voltage between 24 and 50 V AC 50/60Hz, or with a DC-operated conventional relay for a control circuit nominal voltage between 24 and 50 V DC. The surge protection device can be snapped onto the top or side of the relay or contactor without altering the dimensions of the device. High energy absorption: good damping - unpolarized system.
