Parallel and series connection of 3-pole contactors: For a star point (3 poles connected in parallel). To connect poles in parallel and thus increase the AC load flowing through the current path from the parallel-connected poles LP and LY. The respective conductor cross-section can limit the maximum permissible current. The table below contains further information. For series connection of poles, which increases the DC load that can be switched by the poles LP and LY (only LY16-4 and LY38-4 are detachable).
