UP Squared (UP2) is the fastest maker board in the world, featuring high performance and low power consumption from Intel Atom processors. The internal GPU is the new Intel Gen. 9 HD, which supports 4K codec decode and encode for HEVC, H.264, and VP8. Thanks to the Vector Units Image Processing Unit and Precision Timing Management for synchronizing the CPU with I/O and improved determinism, all graphics processing on UP Squared is effortless.

UP Squared comes with 4 GB LPDDR4 and 32 GB eMMC. A 40-pin GP bus gives makers the freedom to build their module. Additionally, there is a 60-pin EXHAT for embedded applications, allowing for further exploration of possibilities. The expansion options for UP2 go even further. The board features native Mini-PCI-e, M.2 2230, and SATA3 integration.

UP Squared supports the AI Core X mPCIe module with Intel Movidius Myriad X. With speeds of up to 105 fps (80 typical) and 1 trillion floating-point operations, adding the AI Core X to UP Squared creates a powerful, compact AI edge solution. UP Squared with AI Core X has proven itself in practice and is used by AAEON partners in applications ranging from license plate recognition to drone-based visual inspections.
