Product details
The wide aperture lens is compatible with the APS-C format and has an aperture setting ranging from F16 to an impressive F0.95. Its design allows for the creation of exceptional movies. Additionally, the fixed focal length is ideal for portraits, street photography, landscapes, and reportage. The optical design features seven elements in five groups, including two HOYA ultra-low dispersion elements, which enhance contrast and color reproduction in various lighting conditions. The maximum aperture of F0.95 enables stunning shots even in dark or low-light environments, providing maximum control over depth of field. To ensure durability, the fixed focal length is constructed from robust metal. The multi-coating on the front glass minimizes flare and ghosting, further optimizing image quality.
This lens has a fixed focal length, which cannot be adjusted. Fixed focal lengths offer high speed, allowing for excellent image capture even in less than optimal lighting conditions. They are particularly effective for capturing specific and distinctive image details. Thanks to the large maximum aperture, a shallower depth of field can be achieved, allowing for optimal subject exposure against the background through targeted sharpness and blur.
This lens requires manual focusing. While manual focusing may take longer and be more challenging than using autofocus, it provides advantages such as the ability to focus precisely on the desired point, resulting in shots that meet your exact vision. In situations where autofocus may struggle—such as low light, smooth surfaces with minimal texture, or foggy conditions—manual focus is often preferred.
