505 Games Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

"Bloodstained" is a side-scrolling action RPG with plenty to discover, featuring all the best elements known and loved from the Metroidvania genre, packed into a single game full of content. You play as Miriam, an orphan whose body is slowly turning to crystal after being cursed by an alchemist. To save herself and, consequently, all of humanity, she must fight her way through a castle overrun by demons summoned by her former friend Gebel, whose body is now more crystal than flesh.

Features: Dense and challenging gameplay with addictive elements and an extensive new story in the Gothic Dark Fantasy style by Koji Igarashi, the acclaimed father of "Igavania" games. The game soundtrack is composed by genre and industry veteran Michiru Yamane, performed by a real orchestral ensemble. Cutscenes and interactions with NPCs are voiced by real star actors, including talents like David Hayter, Ray Chase, and Erica Lindbeck, to name just a few. A total of three playable characters, two of whom are currently secret. Literally tons of weapons and spells that can be upgraded, enhanced, and visually customized. Beautiful 2.5D graphics: lovingly crafted 3D models for a 2D game world. This means a lot of cool tricks that "normal" 2D cannot achieve.
