The multi-lane cable/connection system is fast, secure, simple, and tidy. It combines the four ports of the RAID controller into a single, locked connection. Four channels with 3 Gb/s or 6 Gb/s SAS/SATA traffic run over just one cable from the RAID controller to the system backplane or to up to four drives with a breakout cable.
