The 3M Heat Shrink Tubing HDT-A is a thick-walled heat shrink tubing made from modified, cross-linked polyolefin. It is suitable for use on all plastic and mass cables for both outdoor and underground installations. It serves to insulate and seal connections of all kinds, particularly as an outer sleeve for control cable assemblies. For better sealing, it features an adhesive coating on the inner wall. This highly aging-resistant heat shrink tubing is UV resistant and resistant to many chemical influences. Its shrink ratio is 3:1, and it can be used in a temperature range of -55 °C to +130 °C. It is self-extinguishing and complies with the Lloyds Register of Shipping test standard MIL-I-23053/15.
