Helpful answer

In short: Yes

much much longer: The brew group is behind a simple flap. To remove it, the machine must be switched off. This moves the brew group into a position where it can be removed. Simply pull the water reservoir out of the machine, open the flap and pull the brew group out of the machine.
The brew group should only be rinsed with clean water for cleaning; do not use detergent or clean it in the dishwasher. Otherwise the grease on the seals and guides will be removed and wear will increase. This is actually the case with all brew groups.

With a little skill and mechanical understanding, the brew group can be disassembled and overhauled by yourself. Most of the spare parts (most of them are standardised at De Longi and identical in many types) can also be purchased by private individuals on the internet. Instructions for the individual brew groups can be found on YouTube.

For the occasional rinsing of the pipes, I use a cleaning rod (Kamareta clean), which I feed into the machine via the shaft of the external coffee powder dosing unit with a spoonful of popcorn grains (as a mechanical additional volume, the machine stops otherwise) and with a manual, extra-long coffee draw (is described in the instructions). I then wait a few minutes and rinse the machine several times with the rinse button and coffee draw.

The grinder is easy to clean with grinder cleaner (e.g. Puly grind cristal). To do this, tip a sachet of cleaning powder into the empty bean container and run it through with a coffee brew. Then fill the bean container with fresh coffee beans and rinse the machine with several coffees.

For occasional descaling, I use a lactic acid-based coffee machine descaler (Migros) and the standard descaling programme.
Only at the beginning of the descaling process do I rinse the machine twice with the rinsing programme and descaling mixture, as otherwise the coffee dispensing part of the machine is not descaled on the older machines.

Regularly maintained in this way, my machine has now been running for 6 years in daily use. Only the O-rings of the brewing group leaked once and had to be replaced and re-greased. I was able to do this myself.
