Question about Samsung Portable T5
How does this compare to the WD My Passport SSD 512 GB? I need to use it for TimeMachine, is this ok? This SAMSUNG seems to be cheaper and top seller for Mac. Any issue with this?
Hi, I do not recommend to use an SSD as a Time Machine Backup. Normal Hard Drives are good enough for the Time Machine. It's not that they aren't good, it's more because HD's are cheaper live longer and do their job too. Here is a link if you're willing to pay about the same price for a bigger Harddrive that will live longer. WD Elements Portable (4TB)
I think it's pretty good. I am not using it for TimeMachine. I just use it as a portable drive.
