Hello Together I have now connected the docking station. Firmware updates etc. done. But there is one problem I can't get any further with. When starting up the https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/lenovo-yoga-slim-7i-15imh05-1560-full-hd-i7-10750h-16gb-1000gb-ssd-notebook-13339110 I always get the message: The connected power supply has a lower wattage than the recommended power supply supplied with the system. To use the mains power, please connect the mains adapter supplied with the system. Does anyone know this problem? Or can I get a 230W power supply and the problem would be solved? Power supply strength of the Yoga: 135W Power supply strength of the docking station: 135W Thunderbolt 3 cable: Max. 100Watt Thanks for your help :)
The docking station has two connectors for the power supply(s). One (I meant labelled 65W/135W) is to be used when "only" using a Thunderbolt cable. The output is limited to 65W. Regardless of whether a 135W or 230W power supply unit is connected. The second power supply connection is only useful if you use a suitable Thinkpad and the special cable (1 plug with Lenovo Square Plug and Thunderbolt connection). This also allows 230W charging power. The charging power can be displayed in Lenovo Vantage. If it says 15W, you have used the wrong charger connector. I currently use a Dell laptop, which Stamdart comes with a 130W charger without any problems. I had to deactivate the "adapter warning" in the BIOS, otherwise the warning came up every time. Windows reports "weak charger". However, I had no problems even when the laptop was fully loaded.
Hello Bobbl02bobbl02,
Does it work?
Hello Elfano, your question came before I received the docking station! I only received the package this evening! This weekend I will set up my new laptop (the exact same model as you) and connect the dock. Then I will be able to say more. I hope it works!
