Question about GoPro Hero 8 Black

I've had the Gopro 8 since last spring and have been satisfied so far. Yesterday I used it for the first time in cold weather (around freezing point). The battery still showed 55%, but then suddenly refused to work and switched the device off. Switching on is no longer possible, you have to change the battery. Have others had this bitter experience?

I came across your question through a Google search.

Exactly the same problem. We went sledding today... and took out both GoPro Hero 8s with full batteries before we left. 1x with the head mount and 1x on a long selfie stick.

Both dead after about 30 seconds of use! Yes, on the Po-Alp it was "freezing" cold (about -4 degrees) with a bit of wind. The descent took less than 5 minutes, so I would have expected the two batteries to cope with the short strain. Very disappointing.

Next time I'll take my iPhone 11 again...

Have had the same experience unfortunately, a bit disappointing for an actioncam.
