Tested with a new Linux Debian Stretch install on the AsRock AB350M Pro4 mother board with Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x, 8Go, DDR4-3000 memories set at 2667 MHz on the BIOS. The installation was done with a USB memory written with the Stretch mini.iso image. The boot worked on the first test and the installation finished without any glitch.
The processing power of this CPU is just insane for his price, compiling the whole default "defconfig" amd64 Linux kernel in less that 2 minutes using 12 threads. At first I didn't realized that the GPU was not used for 3D acceleration and still get more than 30 FPS on Stellarium on a HD resolution because Mesa Gallium over LLVM dispatched CPU 12 thread to do the 3D work instead of the GPU, unbelievable. Adding the AMD GPU firmware package was enough to offload the 3D work on my R9 285 GPU.
Without any doubt the platform with the best performance to price ratio I ever owned.
