Unfortunately, this is not true. It is a 2.5 mm jack from Motorola, i.e. only Motorola headsets can be used (or certain 3rd brands). Unfortunately, the connection cannot be extended to a 3.5 jack with an adapter (tested by me). If you want to use these radios with a headset, I advise you not to buy them. Otherwise they are ok.
