I purchased the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones, hoping for the high-quality experience that the brand and Galaxus promise. Unfortunately, I am thoroughly disappointed with both the product and the service I received.
Over time, the charging connectivity started deteriorating gradually—first becoming intermittent and then completely failing. When I sent the headphones for warranty repair, the claim was rejected due to alleged liquid damage. However, I am absolutely certain that no accidental liquid exposure occurred. I wore the headphones in the rain (assuming they were built to handle such conditions) and used them during workouts, where sweat could have affected them. But these are conditions I would expect a product at this price point to endure.
The real disappointment, however, lies in the customer service. Galaxus handled my case in an impersonal and dismissive way, offering only a small discount on a new pair instead of addressing the actual issue. Given the nature of the problem, which appears to be a recurring issue with this model, I feel this response is far from acceptable.
I have been a loyal customer of Galaxus for years, and this experience has left me questioning my future purchases. It is disappointing to receive such poor support for a product that costs 260 CHF.
