This monitor looks incredible and is competitively priced. Unfortunately, when powered on or on standby, it produces a high pitched electronic tone (like an old tv) that I can still hear even after listening to loud music for 20+ years with headphones. This has been reported in other reviews and on reddit, and is not likely something the manufacturer can fix with a firmware update. DO NOT BUY.

Someone suggested on Reddit that turning ambiglow all the way up made the noise stop.
There can't be any coil whine since the monitor is fanless...

Huh? coil whine is not caused by fans. "Coil whine is an audible, high-pitched noise that can be heard from electronic components, particularly graphics cards and power supplies, when electricity flows through them. It's not a defect but a result of the vibrations caused by electromagnetic fields interacting with the coils. "
I thought usually when people speak of coil whine it's the fans messing up, anyways personally I've been using this monitor I haven't had any issues, it's interesting to see this issue twice here tho.
I have the same monitor - no noise - and I am VERY susceptible to noise (coil whine, fan)
- I sit in an almost completely silent room - my system is almost inaudible.
- neither with nor without Ambiglow.
I assume that you've got a Sunday model.
Mmn. this is one of the best 32" 4K (gaming) monitors - even if only with 144hz.
IPS mini LED is not only extremely bright with SDR (700 vs "normal" 350 - 400), but also very colourful - black values are also top.
OLED or not - these things are (still) too dark for me, I wouldn't buy another 32" monitor at the moment.
