    In short: a top smartphone that, contrary to my expectations, really convinced me.

    I've been using the Xperia 1 for a week now. I only ordered it out of curiosity because I thought the display was too bulky anyway and nobody needs 4K.
    Well, after a week of testing, the phone is staying with me and replacing     my S8. Reasons: Handy! very slim, easy to use, camera is absolutely great, even at night, there are worlds between the S8 and the Xperia 1. Display is also top, sufficiently bright even in sunshine, and I can now even read on it with sunglasses, with the S8 everything was gone (probably a filter or something). Battery lasts easily a day even with intensive use. Call quality is also very, very good. The built-in speakers are also convincing.
    At first, I was annoyed by the lack of QI charging, but let's be honest, the QI charging of the S8 always stopped in my Toyota RAV4, as it did in the Audi Q7 of a colleague. Only in the office did I have a working QI charging station (from Sony), which was handy. But now I just charge it overnight.

    Think, very good alternative to Samsung or iPhone

    I had to find a replacement for my old BlackBerry, as it was no longer updating and the device had probably reached its zenith. At first I waited until the new Nokia came on the market, but this one apparently still has some problems. Nokia also used the older Qualcomm chip, which doesn't really make sense. Since I really want to avoid a Chinese, Taiwanese or South Korean smartphone, I had no choice but to wait for the new Sony Xperia 1. I bought it last week and, lo and behold, I am thrilled. The integration into the company (e-mails) was no problem and it has a lot of conveniences. The battery lasts all day and seems more than decent for the device. Of course it depends on the usage, for me this is perfect. The new format is great and it feels great in the hand. Unfortunately digitec didn't offer a case yet, but I found one immediately in the Sony store. At the weekend, my tech-savvy family members looked at the new Sony and they were all over the moon. Maybe one or two of them will switch from the Samsung or iPhone. The workmanship is solid and the operation is very simple. As they used to say, "It's not a trick, its a Sony"!
