Hammer. Super monitor with thin display edges, a beautiful design, 10Bit UHD and extremely many connections.
It's beautifully packaged, easy to assemble, works perfectly, displays all colours beautifully and has great resolution. It's also mega cool for gaming if you have the right machine for it.

The packaging was clearly opened by another customer and very poorly repackaged. I dont know how you can send this to a customer. The box is in terrible condition. I am returning it without trying to look at what is inside.

Bought this monitor mostly to have proper calibration for photo editing. A sheet of paper included in the box says it was factory calibrated to DCI-P3 at 95% with 6500K. When switching from default to different picture modes like ITU-R Rec. BT. 709 or sRGB the image is changing significantly - luminosity get decreased, however, OSD shows that it stays at the same level - at full bar. If you click full bar it would revert back to complete luminosity. So this kind of switching making it impossible to visually compare image difference from one preset to another. I wonder if this is some kind of bug or luminosity gets decreased to comply with the 'monitor standards'?
Otherwise, very decent monitor, design is very appealing.
HDR feature - I guess no much choice to compare it with, but Windows 10 support of HDR ruins it, basically because ClearType was not designed with HDR in mind - not to blame monitor itself.
So far, tried FarCry 5 HDR mode - quite impressive, especially during in-game night scenes. Now I wonder if gamers should actually invest into HDR rather than refresh rate figure.
Some issues though - with community created maps in FarCry 5 Arcade you can quickly get a headache since people do not really bother with the content and use textures with very compressed dynamic range. In HDR, also any ghosting would be more visible. But this is could be also attributed to in-game blurring.
Minor points:
- Could save some bucks on audio - it is office grade, better to have dedicated loudspeakers.
- No preset to specifically indicate 'This is DCI-P3 factory calibrated"
- LG software missing selection of UI language, always defaults to system locale.

Reflections are very important and very annoying, especially for Adobe software. Indirect light is mandatory
