I bought this monitor for three reasons: the 4K display, the USB-C charging possibility and the price.
On the bright side, the 4K resolution lives up to its name! Coming from a 1920x1080 24" monitor, the difference is big.
On the downside, I learned that the low price and the UB-C charging come with their own sets of disadvantages:
- Everything is made of plastic. This is particularly problematic because the monitor wobbles a lot at the slightest touch or adjustment.
- The monitor gives the option to charge a laptop with a USB-C connection. This is great since the setup removes one cable (the charging cable of the laptop). However, the consequence of this is that the monitor now comes with its own charging brick and it's huge! So you exchange one charging cable for another, rendering the whole setup pretty useless.
- It has the worst energy consumption label, based on the 2021 revision from EU: G (previously A). This is due to the fact that on the energy scale, all electronic devices on the market used to populate A to A+++ (devices no longer populated B, C or D due to engineering advances). This means that, of all devices currently on the market, this monitor is in the worst class (by 2021 standards).
Overall, I would give it a 2 1/2 stars. The wobbly movement drives me crazy and the amount of energy consumption makes me think of clubbing baby seals to death. But hey - the new G label applies to 50% of existing electronic devices currently on the market..

I am really happy with this screen. The colors are accurate, the screen is bright, the monitor stand is tiltable, height-adjustable and lets you rotate the screen u to 90 degrees. It can be connected to your laptop via USB-B and on top provides a 40W power supply which charges the laptop. It comes with all the cables that you would need, USB-C, DisplayPort and HDMI so there is no need to buy any additional cables. The only drawback was that the power cable has a European plug, but this can be easily fixed by using an adaptor.
I use it with a macbook and it works great (and charges it at a good rate). One problem (with a mac or an ipad) is that they also register the monitor to output sound, which it doesn't do, and this is inconvenient (on a macbook it can be switched, but on an ipad it is impossible to get sound at all if it is connected to this monitor).
