i-tec USB 3.0 / USB-C Dual 4K Dock
USB-C, 2 Ports
Good overall cost. BUT THE POWERSUPPORT IS MISSING. I was not aware that a powered docking station gives no power to the notbook. There is a more expensive version wich also covers the power supply. However, the USB-C port is not well made. The USB-C plug is not thight. As the most stresst port in a docking station I need the thunderbolt port to be mechanically stable. So I wont even test the more expensive version as it has likely the Same usb-c port issue.
Unfortunately, I only noticed during commissioning that the docking station does not supply the notebook with power. Unfortunately, this was not apparent in the product description. Surely you could have guessed it based on the technical data (in hindsight you are smarter...), but would be nicer if it is clearly evident. For me, the power supply simply belongs to a proper docking station... Therefore, unfortunately unusable for me.

Actually a good docking station. The only and unfortunately serious drawback is the non-existent charging function of the docking station.
Unfortunately, I noticed that only in operation when the laptop had suddenly switched off because the battery was empty. Since I have 2 monitors connected and also use the screen of the laptop at the same time, I have probably overlooked a presumed indication of the battery status and the work of 3 hours was lost.
I have other docking stations from I-tec in use - also the much cheaper i-tec Triple Dock + Universal Charger 112 W I have in use. Even this one has a working charging function. Only because of the very short connection cable there, I decided this time for the i-tec USB 3.0 / USB-C Dual 4K Dock and bought an extension for the connection cable for the existing docking stations. Otherwise, the supposedly no docking station has met my requirements 100%.
Unfortunately, the missing charging function can only be seen when you follow the link to the manufacturer's page of the product. Even there is only a single sentence in which the missing charging function is mentioned. The description at digitec is unfortunately insufficient here. Now I have to carry the charger from the laptop but always ;-(
Since I ordered the docking station before Christmas and got it delivered on 24.12.2021, I paid 184 CHF instead of today's price of 142 CHF - Christmas surcharge!

I have the station unfortunately tested only some time after the expiry of the withdrawal period and sold immediately thereafter because it does not meet the requirements.
My requirements were to supply the laptop with power and to enable office applications on 2 monitors at least full HD.
The image jerked at 4k resolution with one monitor already in Windows (mouse hooked), the same with 2 monitors at Full HD. Only with one monitor at Full HD was the image in Windows and in Office applications in smooth, watch videos or gaming is not possible due to judder even at Full HD. The station does not supply the laptop with power either, you have to use the laptop power supply.
Thus, it does not meet the requirements at all to send a signal to a monitor I can also connect it via the HDMI port of the laptop.

The dock serves the purpose. Not suitable for two 4K monitors. I have now reduced it to one. It works well with that. I have to attach an additional power source to the notebook, but that was expected. When buying, be sure to consider the charging power of the notebook and dock so that it is sufficient if desired. Most Dell business notebooks need around 180W. The docks that provide this much power were too expensive for me.
