The software is very unstable, device keeps getting tangled with the USB interface. No matter whether it's a tried and tested iPod Classic or iOS devices of different generations the DNP-F109 crashes. Refuses to connect via network or USB even after switching off and on. The only remedy is to "reset the microprocessor" according to the operating instructions. Depending on the installation location, this may take three hands and any WPA password must then be entered again. WLAN operation is therefore hardly practicable because of the frequent "resets". The device is also rather bitchy via LAN, Airplay via iTunes works better, but is not really PnP.
Reception of Internet radio stations works without problems after a fresh "reset".
I am disappointed with the quality of the software. For this price, you may not expect perfect sound, but compared to much cheaper network receivers, a much better usability.

Device with slightly demanding operation, user-unfriendly remote control, but if you work with it for a while, it runs well. Very good reception, connection to stereo systems without problems, operation via Harmony, for example, not easy.

Regularly loses WiFi connection (despite being about 3m away from the access point). The required system reset is frustrating (simultaneous button presses while unplugging(!?)). New firmware is not available. This type of device does not exist on the Denon website. This "Network Audio Player" is therefore worthless for my configuration. My first and last Denon device.
