Great for experienced users but still needs some work to do.

I've been using this board for a few days and it has been working fine. Since Ryzen was rushed, many motherboard manufacturers haven't had enough time to optimize their BIOS but someone at ASUS is fixing problems for this particular board at www.overclock.net/t/1624603/rog-crosshair-vi-overclocking-th... . I wouldn't recommend this board for a newbie yet until ASUS gets their problems fixed. But it's a fun ride for advanced users. If you have problems with this board, please report it on the thread i linked before.

    Pro

    • Feature filled motherboard with a great BIOS
    • Issues are actively being fixed and optimized through BIOS updates
    • Many things can be controlled through software (RAM/CPU OC, RGB-LEDs, Fan Control etc.)

    Contra

    • IMPORTANT: BIOS version 5704 and 5803 lead to Bricking (Update immediately)
    • Some RAM can't go any further than 2666MHz (can change in the future)

Good mainboard, but demands its price.

Super mainboard, especially for people in the professional sector, as it has also been optimised for nitrogen cooling. The look is great and I have to admit that it has a lot of additional functions, such as the M.2 slot for WLAN modules. I can only recommend this product.

    Pro

    • Optics
    • Overclocking functions
    • Nitrogen cooling is supported
    • Clear BIOS

    Contra

    • SupremeFX not so convincing
    • Gamefirst IV does not work so well
    • Price

    Best AM4 motherboard

Very good mainboard. Actually offers everything you need.

Update: RAM now runs on DOCP (XMP) specifications, since AGESA 1006.
Contra point is therefore omitted. Better RAM performance than many Intel boards.

    Pro

    • Very good VRMs for overclocking and stability
    • Error code display, flashback button, etc.
    • Integrated audio at sound card level
    • Many USB 3.0 ports + one 3.1 port
    • Good support and high priority for BIOS updates

    Contra

    • Hynix RAM does not yet run faster than 2666MT/s, AGESA update in May may change that
