I've had this screen for about a month and am very pleased. In combination with a Freesync capable graphics card from AMD, the gaming experience is many times better than on my U2515H, IPS screen from Dell. The color reproduction can't quite keep up with that of an IPS panel, but it's still very good for a TN panel. Personally, I only notice the difference in a direct comparison. The difference between 60 and 144hz on the other hand is immediately noticeable, even the Windows interface feels much smoother. The 1440p resolution is also ideal in my opinion. The difference to 1080p is clearly visible without making the same demands on the graphics card as 4k.
So if you don't want to use this screen for professional image/video editing, you'll be very happy. The only thing I noticed is that Freesync only works up to 120Hz in the game "League of Legends". As soon as the Hz number goes above that, it turns off. Whether this is a problem with the monitor, Windows, AMD drivers, or League of Legends, I can't say. I have written to AOC regarding this issue, but I have not received a response.

I still have a 4K UHD monitor with Freesync and 60Hz.
I don't think the difference is big enough to pay twice as much for a monitor with only half the resolution.
A 1ms response time monitor with Freesync is certainly enough for all non-e-sports gamers.
