Is the bass boost only activated on the headphone output or is this globally active for all outputs?

Bass boost is only on the analogue outputs (headphones, line), the two digital outputs are "direct". The same applies to the gain switch.

FiiO K3 is much better than Soundblaster.... Beyerdynamic makes, in my opinion, very good headphones. I have several of them and am very satisfied with them. But I don't know the 880 pro.

Similar setup. I bought a USB 3.0 (US234) switch for switching. Works perfectly.
Why should you have to do this, the M11 surely has a similarly good DAC in it, if so, the sound quality would certainly not be significantly improved. I use the K3 via PC and you can hear the difference very well, because the integrated sound card in the PC is usually not very good.
