I have it in use as a second monitor and have no problems with it
Hello Leonard.lin There are tools for calibration: x-rite i1Photo Pro 2, colour calibration system maybe you can get it cheaper in another version. Here is a good article about it: http://www.digitalphoto.de/ratgeber/monitor-kalibrieren-leicht-gemacht-100266263.html But I recommend that you buy a good screen if it is important for production. Mostly recommended are NEC or EZIO. In an X-ray institute I was in charge of, they have 24" screens for about 5000.- from NEC is expensive but if it is important like in this example (it is about people's lives) it is definitely worth it. These screens were also tested by the software manufacturer in absolute darkness. So if it has to be prefessional it can get very expensive very quickly. Greetings CysteK
If your iMac has a DisplayPort or Thunderbolt port, it works fine. Mine works like this on a MacMini. HDMI also works, but not at full resolution.
