Xbox Series X: Here are the very first gameplay trailers for the new console generation

Microsoft shows off the Xbox Series X gameplay for the first time in a livestream. The games shown include "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" as well as numerous new titles.
Gaming fans have been eagerly awaiting this moment. The first real insight into the next generation of games. Because the E3 games trade fair has been cancelled, Microsoft is taking matters into its own hands. Under the name Xbox 20/20, Microsoft will now be presenting news about the Xbox Series X, the xCloud streaming service, Game Pass and more every month.
Today we kicked things off with a whole host of bombastic gameplay trailers for games that will be released on Microsoft's new console. Gameplay from Microsoft's own titles such as "Halo Infinite" will follow in the next issue in July.
"Bright Memory Infinite"
We started with a shooter with a surprising setting. While you can shoot with a futuristic gun at the ready, medieval opponents with shields face you. There are even racing vehicles. Definitely an interesting mix. Two different worlds meet in "Bright Memory Infinite".
"Dirt 5"
Codemasters showed the new "Dirt 5". Sometimes with a rally car through the mud, sometimes with a roaring muscle car on the tarmac and sometimes in a buggy through the tropics. There should be no shortage of variety.
"Scorn"
"Scorn" exudes a lot of H.R. Giger vibes. I have no idea what exactly I saw there, but Hansruedi would certainly have liked the outlandish creatures and buildings in this first-person horror adventure.
"Chorus Rise as One"
A stylish space action game awaits you in "Chorus". You control an intelligent spaceship and combine deadly weapons with supernatural abilities. The trailer hasn't really revealed much, but the graphic style is definitely a feast for the eyes.
"Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2"
Already known, but still an extremely atmospheric trailer for "Bloodlines 2". The action adventure game is full of bloodthirsty vampires and lots of impressive locations.
"Call of the Sea"
The year is 1930, a stranded ship. A supposedly deserted island in the Pacific and plenty of secrets waiting to be uncovered in this adventure puzzle game.
"The Ascent"
"The Ascent" is a brutal action role-playing game in a cyberpunk future. Even offers a co-op mode.
"The Medium"
"The Medium" also has a gloomy feel. No wonder, the soundtrack comes from the same composers as the "Silent Hill" series. The game is described as a psychological horror game in which you walk between two worlds as a medium.
"Scarlet Nexus"
In a distant future, including a futuristic Eiffel Tower, you fight wacky creatures with bouquets of flowers for heads and rotary valves for mouths in spectacular style. The anime style with light cell shading is captivating.
"Second Extinction"
Looks like "Turok", but with modern graphics. There are mutated dinos, lots of weapons, explosions and blood. Three-player co-op on top of that.
"Yakuza: Like a Dragon"
This will definitely be a "Yakuza" that I won't miss. Why? Because the hero pulls a barbed wire-covered baseball bat out of the ground as if it were Excalibur. Plus there are even more crazy fights than in the predecessors with super moves that could have come straight out of "Street Fighter".
"Assassin's Creed Valhalla"
Finally, there was a short trailer for Ubisoft's new "Assassin's Creed". The gameplay scenes showed sieges, a raven at your side and Stonehenge, which you can visit in the game.

Being the game and gadget geek that I am, working at digitec and Galaxus makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop – but it does take its toll on my wallet. I enjoy tinkering with my PC in Tim Taylor fashion and talking about games on my podcast http://www.onemorelevel.ch.
