We spent three days at the world's largest gaming convention and played a lot of games. Along the way, we collected a ton of merch that we are now giving away.

Gamescom is over. In addition to many great experiences with new games, we also brought back tons of merch from Cologne. This year, we want to share our haul with our community again.

What we're giving away

To participate in the giveaway, scroll all the way to the bottom. In the header image, you can see all the goodies we are giving away (excluding my dog Lino – he just wanted to be there when I was unpacking).

Below, you can see the individual merch packages in detail:

1) Boxing gloves from «Zoopunk»

Luca was thrilled with his hands-off session with «Zoopunk». The fresh setting and the animal protagonists in particular left a lasting impression. I mean, it makes sense. Who wouldn't want to halve enemies with a chainsaw as a rhino or throw punches as a rabbit?

As a goodie, Luca is bringing along some stylish boxing gloves (not suitable for animals) and stickers from his preview session.

«Zoopunk» will be released in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

2) Bag from «Castlevania: Belmont's Curse»

Hell yeah, «Castlevania» is back. The comeback, orchestrated by the «Dead Cells» studios Evil Empire and Motion Twin, impressed Kevin in a first hands-on session.

If you want to prepare for the 2.5D adventure, you can snag a stylish bag here.

«Castlevania: Belmont's Curse» will be released on October 15 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC.

3) Various goodies from «Tides of Annihilation»

«Tides of Annihilation» is one of my big highlights of the fair. The post-apocalyptic London looks fantastic, and the combat system with equippable ghost knights is really cool.

The goodie package includes a plush toy, stickers, and pins for you.

«Tides of Annihilation» will be released in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

4) Cap from «Star Wars: Galactic Racer»

Luca played the Gamescom demo for «Star Wars: Galactic Racer» four times. For him, the racing game is already the game of the year decade.

He can't really do anything with the cap, though – maybe you'll like it?

«Star Wars: Galactic Racer» will be released on October 6 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

5) Bag from «Lego Skylines»

For Phil, «Lego Skylines» is a dream come true. The latest work from Iceflake Studios («Cities Skylines») lets you build your own Lego city. Why did it take so long for someone to combine Lego with a city-building simulation? It's a perfect match.

Phil is bringing back a Lego bag from his hands-on session that he wants to give to you.

«Lego Skylines» will be released in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC.

6) Stickers, pins, and book from «1001: Threads of Mizan»

We didn't have this game on our radar before Gamescom. Logically, it was only announced at the Opening Night Live. Luca checked out the game spontaneously – and promptly named it one of his big highlights.

He's bringing back some smaller merch items from his preview session.

«1001: Threads of Mizan» will be released in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC.

7) Various items from «Silver Palace»

Kevin isn't sure if he should like «Silver Palace». On one hand, he likes the colorful anime aesthetic; on the other, the gacha mechanics put him off.

Despite his ambivalent attitude, he brought back some great merch. What's in the folder? I'm not telling.

«Silver Palace» does not yet have an officially confirmed release date and will be released for PS5, PC, iOS, and Android.

8) Everything possible from «Silent Hill: Townfall»

I was able to play the new «Silent Hill» for an hour and a half at Gamescom – my longest appointment of the fair. Every minute of it was magnificent. And I'm not just saying that because Konami literally flooded me with merch.

This goodie package includes a T-shirt, a bag, keychains, stickers, a mousepad, and an ominous hospital wristband.

«Silent Hill: Townfall» will be released on September 24 for PS5 and PC.

9) Everything possible from «Sea of Remnants»

There's even more merch from «Sea of Remnants». Phil snagged plenty of goodies at his hands-on session. The game itself leaves him conflicted. As an old «Sea of Thieves» veteran, Pirate-Philipp is very fond of the setting. He is not yet convinced by the combat system. He is also skeptical about the free-to-play principle and the gacha mechanics.

«Sea of Remnants» will be released in 2027 for PS5, PC, iOS, and Android.

10) Snake merch from Razer

Kevin didn't just look at games at Gamescom, but also hardware. Among other things, our keyboard expert also visited Razer. He is happy to leave the bag, the plush toy with a built-in tote bag, and the ice cube trays to you.

11) Keychain and pin from 8bitdo

Speaking of hardware: Kevin was also at the 8bitdo booth. He brought back these little goodies:

12) Bag from «Switch Sports Resort»

«Switch Sports Resort» is definitely worth noting if you're into old-school motion gameplay à la «Wii Sports». I played the nostalgic comeback at Gamescom and played bowling and thumb wrestling, among other things, against colleague Kevin. Magnificent!

To bridge the waiting time until the release in October, you can snag a stylish bag and a postcard.

«Nintendo Switch Sports Resort» will be released on October 22 for Switch 2.

13) Sweet, not sour, from «Haunted Paws»

In the indie area, I stumbled upon «Haunted Paws». A super cute co-op game with dogs looking for their owner in a haunted mansion. The best thing about the game: There is a dedicated button to bark and an emote that lets me pee. The stickers and the pin I took from the booth are just as cute.

«Haunted Paws» is announced for PC and Switch, but does not yet have a release date.

14) Keychain from «Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4»

At Gamescom, I played the Switch 2 version of this year's «Call of Duty» installment. And it was, to put it nicely, not good. The positive thing is that the game runs at 60 FPS in multiplayer. However, this results in the image quality and resolution being catastrophic. The Switch 2 version looks like I'm streaming a YouTube video in 360p with bad reception. If you are interested in the shooter, you should choose a different version.

As a consolation for the experience, I at least snagged a keychain.

«Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4» will be released on October 23 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Switch 2.

15) Newspaper from «Showa American Story»

The weirdest merch for the weirdest game of Gamescom. «Showa: American Story» is an alternate-history game in which Japan has bought the USA. Fans of the «Yakuza» games should keep an eye on this title. Kevin was quite impressed after the hands-on session. He brought back... a newspaper?

«Showa American Story» will be released in 2026 for PS5 and PC.

16) «Stranger Than Heaven» bag

I am so incredibly excited about this game that I would rather keep the bag myself. «Stranger Than Heaven» is the biggest and most ambitious project to date from the Japanese cult studio RGG. You experience an epic story of a half-American, half-Japanese man who is looking for his place in a ruthless world. The story spans five decades and takes place in five different cities. The combat system also seems exciting – you control the left and right halves of the protagonist Daito's body separately. A left fist, a right kick. I didn't really understand the strange controls after my Gamescom appointment. However, I have become very curious and am looking forward to next year like crazy.

«Stranger Than Heaven» will be released on January 15 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Fancy some Gamescom merch?

We are giving away our Gamescom merch. Write in the comments and/or in the text field which goodie you would like to have most – preferably with the number. The giveaway runs until the end of September. Good luck!

My love of video games was unleashed at the tender age of five by the original Gameboy. Over the years, it's grown in leaps and bounds.
