These are the new PS Plus games for June 2026
Sony is adding eight titles to its games catalogue in June 2026. The selection ranges from ‘Final Fantasy XVI’ and ‘Sonic X Shadow Generations’ to ‘Kingdom Come: Deliverance’, ‘Farming Simulator 25’ and the PS2 classic ‘Gitaroo Man’.
June kicks off in the PlayStation Plus catalogue with a question that only video games can ask: would you rather battle god-like Eikons, order a rice paddy, or rescue a friend in a parallel reality today?
The eight new titles will be available in the PlayStation Plus catalogue from 16 June. «Gitaroo Man» is the only new addition for Premium members. The remaining games are available to Extra and Premium subscribers.

«Gitaroo Man» (2001)

«Gitaroo Man» is a rhythm game from the PS2 era and remains a quirky cult classic to this day. You play as U-1, an insecure boy who becomes a hero with the help of a legendary guitar. The game tells this story in a flamboyant, colourful and deliberately over-the-top style. Music here is not merely background accompaniment, but the central combat mechanic.
In the duels, you follow rhythm patterns, press buttons at the right moment and defend yourself against musical attacks. Each encounter functions like a song with its own dramatic structure. Sometimes you play aggressively, sometimes you dodge, and sometimes you play through longer passages cleanly. As a result, «Gitaroo Man» combines reaction, timing and staging in a way that still feels unusual today.

«Final Fantasy XVI» (2023)

«Final Fantasy XVI» tells a dark fantasy story full of power struggles, betrayal and personal loss. At its heart is Clive Rosfield, who seeks his own path in the world of Valisthea amidst warring empires, political intrigue and the mighty forces of the Eikons. The game places a much greater emphasis on action than previous instalments in the series. You control Clive directly, dodging attacks, countering enemies and combining sword strikes with supernatural abilities.
The production values are among the game’s greatest strengths. «Final Fantasy XVI» often treats battles as dramatic climaxes, not merely as gameplay obstacles. The clashes with the Eikons, in particular, feel grand, loud and deliberately over-the-top. At the same time, the game remains narratively well-structured. You don’t explore a completely open world, but instead follow a tightly directed story featuring side quests, quieter moments and plenty of cutscenes.
«Sonic X Shadow Generations» (2024)

«Sonic X Shadow Generations» combines a revamped version of «Sonic Generations» with a new campaign centred on Shadow. The basic concept remains classic: you race at high speed through colourful tracks, jump over chasms, collect rings and search for the cleanest line through the levels. The game alternates between side-scrolling 2D sections and modern 3D sections.
The ‘ «’ Sonic» section thrives on nostalgia and familiarity. Many tracks draw on well-known locations from the series’ history and reimagine them in a faster, smoother format. The Shadow instalment brings a darker tone and unique abilities to the game. Not only does Shadow move differently, but his campaign also focuses more heavily on his past and his conflict with Black Doom.
«Kingdom Come: Deliverance» (2018)

Genre: Open-world role-playing game

«Kingdom Come: Deliverance» takes you to Bohemia in the early 15th century. You play as Heinrich, the son of a blacksmith, who is drawn into a political and military conflict following an attack on his village. The game eschews fantasy elements and focuses instead on historical authenticity. There is no magic, no monsters and no superhuman heroic powers.
It is precisely this that makes the world feel different from that of many role-playing games. Heinrich does not start out as a trained fighter, but as a young man with limited abilities. You must learn to fight, practise reading, build your reputation and navigate the social rules of the game world. Your clothing, demeanour and decisions influence how other characters react to you.
Combat also requires patience. You don’t just lash out wildly at opponents; instead, you pay attention to direction, distance, stamina and timing. The game punishes mistakes swiftly.
«Life is Strange: Double Exposure» (2024)

«Life is Strange: Double Exposure» begins with a murder, two realities and a heroine who cannot shake off her past. Max Caulfield is now working as a photographer at Caledon University. When her friend Safi is found dead, Max tries to use her old powers. But instead of turning back time, she opens a gateway to a second reality in which Safi is still alive.
This gives rise to a low-key mystery with an emotional core. You investigate locations, speak to students and university staff, and switch between two versions of the same world. Clues from one reality help you make progress in the other. At the same time, the game raises the question of how far Max is allowed to go to save someone.
«Farming Simulator 25» (2024)

«Farming Simulator 25» makes farming a predictable routine. You place orders for fields, buy machinery, rear animals, set up production chains and expand your farm step by step. Progress isn’t driven by spectacular twists, but by improved workflows. A new tractor, a larger field or an additional production line directly change the way you organise your working day.
The 2025 instalment expands the series to include, amongst other things, new crops such as rice and spinach. There are also new regions, including a map inspired by East Asia, North American landscapes and Central European settings. The fleet comprises more than 400 machines from over 150 manufacturers. That may sound technical at first, but it’s at the heart of the game’s appeal. Every machine fulfils a specific task; every investment has practical consequences.
Played solo, the game functions as a calm, almost meditative economic simulation. In multiplayer mode, it becomes a collaborative farm project where tasks are allocated and several players work in parallel.
«Blades of Fire» (2025)

«Blades of Fire» focuses on intense combat, handcrafted weapons and a dark fantasy world. You play as Aran de Lira, a warrior in a realm where metal turns to stone. As a result, weapons are rare and valuable. The game turns this not just into a narrative detail, but a central system: you forge your own weapons and determine how they behave in combat.
This changes the way you view equipment. A sword isn’t simply a number with higher damage, but a tool with weight, reach and unique characteristics. You decide which form suits your style and how you’ll attack enemies with it. The combat is deliberately slow-paced and physical. Every strike requires timing; every wrong move can put you in danger.
«Black Desert» (2017)

Game type: Multiplayer
«Black Desert» is an online role-playing game featuring a vast open world and numerous parallel systems. You create a character, choose a class and work your way through battles, quests, guild activities and life skills. The combat system runs in real time and feels much more immediate than in many classic MMORPGs. Instead of simply triggering abilities from a bar, you move around actively, combine attacks and react to enemies.
As well as combat, the game offers plenty to do off the beaten track. You can trade, fish, cook, gather resources, practise alchemy, breed horses or join a guild.
