These are the highlights of the first Nintendo Direct 2022
Yesterday, Nintendo presented new game trailers. Among them are highlights like "Xenobalde Chronicles 3" or "Nintendo Switch Sports".
On the first Nintendo Direct of 2022, the Japanese gaming giant blasted out trailer after trailer for 40 minutes. There was no news about "Metroid Prime 4" or the sequel to "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild", but there were other highlights.
"Xenobalde Chronicles 3.
Fans of JRPGs take note: This September, "Xenobalde Chronicles 3" is coming. Again, there's an open world and titans. The game aims to show what has become of the worlds of "Xenobalde Chronicles" and "Xenobalde Chronicles 2".
"Nintendo Switch Sports"
The successor to the successful "Wii Sports" series will be released on April 29. Sofa sports maniacs can enjoy tennis, soccer, badminton, volleyball and bowling. There's even a special version of bowling: Survival Bowling.
"Splatoon 3"
In the summer, "Splatoon 3" is finally coming. The game was announced a year ago. Also on board is the Salmon Run, which is explained in more detail in the trailer. Accordingly, the team play aspect will be emphasized more in "Splatoon 3".
"Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes."
The tactics RPG "Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes" follows 2019's "Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Houses," and the game is set in the same world but tells a different story. So there are some familiar faces to be seen in June, too.
"Mario Strikers: Battle League Football."
Also scheduled for release in June is "Mario Strikers: Battle League." Here, five-on-five intense football is played. Mario-typically there are special moves and power-ups. I don't need to mention that there's no such thing as fouls.
48 New tracks for Mario Kart 8
Bored of the tracks in "Mario Kart 8"? With the so-called "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Track Pass", there are always new tracks from March 18 until the end of 2023. There are to be 48 tracks in total. The first wave includes the coconut promenade from "Mario Kart Wii", Toad's track from "Mario Kart 7" or the Tokyo tempo tour from "Mario Kart Tour".
