The streaming provider Spotify has increased the price of its Family plan by 1.05 francs. Although this is not much, it still gives food for thought.
The Spotify Family subscription has become more expensive. Since 1 October, it has cost 20.95 francs instead of 19.90 francs. That doesn't sound like much, but it's still a price increase of 5.28 per cent. This makes the Spotify subscription more expensive than its Apple counterpart. The price increase for Switzerland was also swept under the carpet by Spotify: there was no official communication.
Only those who already have a Family plan have been informed that the price has changed. The new plan fee kindly does not have to be paid until November. The invoice will then be adjusted automatically. Rappenspalter and owners of the plan will therefore have to recalculate the cost per person in the Family.
Apart from that, the offer remains the same. The price of the three other Spotify plans has not been increased.
If you don't want to go along with the price increase, you can change your subscription. This is the situation with comparable subscriptions from the competition:

SoundCloud has no family offer. Tidal still offers the much more expensive Hifi version for 38.85 francs for families. With the new price, Spotify is therefore more expensive for families than Apple Music, Deezer and the normal version of Tidal. We can only hope that Spotify artists will also benefit from the price increase.
Spotify recently not only increased the price for Swiss users, but also revised the search function. You can now find a song by entering a line of text from the song you are looking for. However, Spotify has not officially communicated this new function.
The song you are looking for will appear in all search results. So that you can distinguish the lyrics search from the normal search, it says below that it is a lyrics match. This works with Android and iOS and also with Spotify Free. Apple Music and Deezer have had this function for some time.
