Sonos officially brings Alexa to Switzerland

Good news: Amazon Alexa voice control is coming to Swiss Sonos speakers this spring.
The US company Sonos has announced that Alexa will soon be available in 27 more countries. Switzerland is also among them. A feature that many customers have been wishing for.
With Alexa, you can use voice commands to play music, set an alarm clock or find out the weather forecast on compatible speakers. Until now, the function has only been available in a roundabout way - for example, by entering foreign accounts.
Voice control will be rolled out as a software update on Sonos speakers in 27 new countries this spring: Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey. It is not clear from the Sonos press release when exactly "in spring" will be.
Alexa is available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish - unfortunately, the voice assistant does not (yet) understand Swiss German. All voice-enabled speakers are supported.

Testing devices and gadgets is my thing. Some experiments lead to interesting insights, others to demolished phones. I’m hooked on series and can’t imagine life without Netflix. In summer, you’ll find me soaking up the sun by the lake or at a music festival.
