According to media reports, Tesla has awarded a half-billion-dollar contract to the tech company Samsung. As it seems, Samsung will provide the camera technology for the planned cyber trucks.

Two big players are teaming up: Samsung’s rear-view mirror technology will allow future Tesla cyber truck drivers to see the world behind. The two companies from the U.S. and South Korea have reached a contractual agreement, as the online magazine «The Korea Economic Daily» reports.

Samsung with strong position in electromobility

Will Tesla's cyber truck go into production and be available to buy? And if so, when? We don’t know. Recent reports suggest production of a four-wheel-drive model of the electrically powered pick-up could start in 2021 and the rear-wheel drive model might follow in 2022.
