Now available: "Truck Control System" from Hori for realistic truck simulators

The "Truck Control System", which consists of a steering wheel, a shifter and pedals, is designed to put you in the cab of a lorry. The controls are designed for the functions of a lorry to increase the level of realism.
If you want to play "Euro Truck Simulator 2" or "American Truck Simulator" with as much immersion as possible, the "Truck Control System" from Hori could be something for you. Normal gaming steering wheels usually offer rather generic buttons that can be used to cover everything from racing games to "Farming Simulator" and truck simulators.
The "Truck Control System", on the other hand, is designed to integrate all the functions for controlling your lorry. The more than 70 buttons and other switches and levers are provided with corresponding, specific icons and labelling.

Realism through replication of a real lorry
The steering wheel has a flatter tilt angle than normal gaming steering wheels and therefore feels more like a lorry steering wheel. With a diameter of 40 centimetres, it is also larger than other widely used steering wheels, which are closer to 30 centimetres in diameter.
The buttons, switches and levers on the steering wheel and shifter console are modelled on those in a truck. For example, there are buttons for light settings and the warning lights as well as levers for the indicators and windscreen wipers. However, the buttons can also be freely assigned. There are also warning lights that signal engine damage, for example.
Force feedback transfers bumps in the road or kerbs from the game to the steering wheel. This ensures better immersion. The Truck Control System is equipped with two motors for force feedback. The steering wheel can be rotated by up to 1800 degrees.
Shifter and pedals
You can use the shifter as an H-gearbox or sequentially. The latter means that you only push the gear lever forwards or backwards to shift up or down a gear.
The three pedals are made of metal and, according to the manufacturer, should be very robust. They use magnetic sensors to precisely measure pedal movements. This should enable a high level of accuracy.
