With the Azure series, Leofoto is launching two carbon fibre tripods on the market that are designed for precision and mobility.

A sturdy tripod is part of every photographer's basic equipment. It ensures steady images and clean compositions, whether for long exposures, architectural shots or video work. The Azure series from Leofoto is aimed at users who work on the move and value a combination of stability, lightweight construction and precise mechanics.

Common design

Both models in the series - the «AZ-235C» and the «AZ-204C» - are based on the same construction. The legs are made of ten-layer carbon fibre, which is designed to offer high rigidity and low weight. The metal parts are made from a 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with magnesium and silicon. According to the manufacturer, this combination of materials provides additional strength and protects against corrosion.

The central feature of the Azure series is the Y-shaped centre column. It reduces vibrations and is designed to enable a compact pack size. Both tripods offer four leg angle settings, a reversible centre column and spikes under the rubber caps for a secure footing on uneven ground.

«Azure AZ-235C»: Stability in a compact form

The «AZ-235C» is the larger model in the series and focusses on high load capacity with a compact design. You can adjust it to a working height of between 17 and 161 centimetres. The transport length is around 49 centimetres and it weighs around 1.5 kilograms. According to the manufacturer, the tripod can hold up to ten kilograms, which also allows the use of full-frame cameras with telephoto lenses.

The LH-30R ball head supplied is made of anodised aluminium. It offers sensitive friction control and a smooth-running panorama function.

«Azure AZ-204C»: Lightweight for mobile use

The smaller «AZ-204C» is based on the same technical concept, but is designed more for mobility. It weighs around 1.2 kilograms, offers an adjustable working height of 16.5 to 140.5 centimetres and can be folded to around 48 centimetres. The load capacity is around seven kilograms and therefore covers mirrorless systems and lightweight DSLR equipment.

The LH-25R ball head has a more compact design, also offers a panorama function and uses the Arca-Swiss system. A stabilisation hook on the underside of the column allows additional weight to be attached in windy conditions.
