Microsoft launches Windows 1.11

Netflix is colluding with Microsoft. Windows 1.11, a video game application available now, is a nod to the third season of "Stranger Things", which has just been released. So take note, fans of the saga and nostalgic fans at heart!
Microsoft releases Windows 1.0. Les petits malins auront rapidement compris que les announcements last week were no April Fools' joke, but a clever promotional campaign for "Stranger Things", a series full of mystery, the third season of which has just been released and is set in 1985, the same year Windows was launched.

As of today, at least on the US Windows Store, the Windows 1.11 app is available. By temporarily changing the language region to the United States, you'll also be able to access it. The 775-megabyte file isn't just a pale reissue of the outdated operating system. The application contains a whole host of mini-games, puzzles and easter eggs relating to the adventures surrounding Hawkins. Clicking on the almost 35-year-old interface will reveal new information and videos about the third season of 'Stranger Things'. This ingenious advertising campaign is sure to please fans of the series and nostalgic fans alike.

By the way, I'd like to take this opportunity to announce that we'll be taking on direct - as we usually do every Wednesday at lunchtime - Stranger Things: The Game. Perhaps we'll even have time to try out Windows 1.11? Whatever the case, don't miss out!

Being the game and gadget geek that I am, working at digitec and Galaxus makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop – but it does take its toll on my wallet. I enjoy tinkering with my PC in Tim Taylor fashion and talking about games on my podcast http://www.onemorelevel.ch. To satisfy my need for speed, I get on my full suspension mountain bike and set out to find some nice trails. My thirst for culture is quenched by deep conversations over a couple of cold ones at the mostly frustrating games of FC Winterthur.
