Hue is launching Light Strips with RGBWWIC LEDs onto the market. The strips are suitable for different applications depending on the product. You can now also buy Hue's first doorbell with camera.

The second wave of new products from Philips Hue has arrived in our warehouse. These include Light Strips for atmospheric direct and indirect lighting - also for outdoor use - as well as new cameras and doorbells from the Hue Secure portfolio.

New LED strips

Light Strips are ideal for ceiling or floor edges and for mounting under furniture. They spread a pleasantly diffuse light on walls or floors and set the mood in rooms.

With the «Flux Gradient» strips, the individual LEDs are visible as points of light. These Light Strips are therefore best placed behind panels, on the back of shelves or under furniture. They provide indirect lighting. With «Omni Glow», Hue also offers Light Strips that are suitable for direct lighting.

And if you want to continue the exercise with indirect and direct light in the garden, Hue has the right weatherproof light strips in its range.

With the «Neon Gradient Outdoor» light strips, you can set accents in the garden.

All strips enable RGBWWIC colour gradients with real white tones. This allows you to reproduce the entire daylight spectrum and create smooth transitions when changing colour and brightness.

Hue's Ambilight technology Chromasync is also supported by all LED strips. This allows them to reproduce the colours of a connected screen. All Chromasync-enabled light sources can also be synchronised with each other.

Indoor: indirect lighting with «Flux Gradient»

You can shorten the «Flux Gradient» LED strips to your preferred length or extend them to up to 20 metres with extensions.

With 400 lumens per metre, the standard version is suitable for indirect accent lighting to create a cosy atmosphere. It is available from us in three and ten metre lengths.

«Flux Ultra Bright Gradient»

The ultra-bright version of the «Flux Gradient» strips provides plenty of light in the room with 1000 lumens per metre. It is therefore suitable for areas such as the kitchen or dining room where you want to see what you are doing. You can get the Light Strip from us in three, five and ten metre lengths.

Indoor: direct lighting with «Omni Glow»

You don't need to hide the «Omni Glow» light strips: they look like continuous strips of light. Hue achieves this using COB (chip-on-board) technology. They are therefore ideal for giving your home a futuristic aesthetic.

«Omni Glow» shines with 1000 lumens per metre. The strip is available in three, five and ten metre lengths. Like the «Flux Gradient» strips, it can be cut to size. You cannot extend it.

Outdoor: colourful light strips for the garden and balcony

The «Flux Gradient Outdoor» strips for outdoor use are suitable for indirect lighting. For direct light, you can use «Neon Gradient Outdoor» strips. Unlike «Omni Glow», however, these are not equipped with COB LEDs.

The strips are available in five and ten metre lengths.

Both products are IP67 waterproof, including the power supply unit. So they can withstand downpours without any problems. The only thing you can't do is shorten or extend them.

Hue Secure: doorbell camera and door chime

Philips Hue has had a wired doorbell with an integrated camera in its portfolio since this autumn. It sends you a push notification or lights up your Hue lamps when someone presses the doorbell button. If you want an acoustic notification, there is also the matching door chime «Smart Chime», which plays a sound or melody when the doorbell button is pressed.

The two devices are available together as a set or individually. However, the «Smart Chime» only works in conjunction with the doorbell or Hue motion sensors. You can use several chimes if you want to hear the doorbell reliably on different floors, for example.

The doorbell camera offers 2K resolution and is equipped with a 180-degree fisheye lens. Power is supplied via cable using a doorbell transformer with 12-24 volt AC voltage.

The camera provides you with a live view in the Hue app. You can use the intercom function to talk to the person ringing the doorbell. Recorded clips are stored in the cloud for 24 hours. If you want to save them for longer, you need to take out a paid plan.

A motion sensor is also integrated. If the doorbell detects movement, you will receive a notification in the app. If you wish, you can also emit a sound via the doorbell or have your Hue lamps activate certain light scenes. When lighting comes into play, however, a Hue Bridge is required.

Plug the «Smart Chime» into a normal socket. You configure it in the app. You can choose from various preset sounds, adjust the volume and specify which devices trigger a sound.

The device also supports Motion Aware. This is an exclusive function of the new Bridge Pro, which turns many compatible Hue devices into motion sensors. In combination with two lights in the same room, you can use the «Smart Chime» to monitor the area between the devices for movement independently of the chime function.

Last but not least, the new Secure cameras now offer 2K resolution instead of just Full HD as before. However, the new camera generation does not offer any other changes. You can find them here.
