"GTA 6" is in development
Rockstar confirms what everyone knew: There will be a sequel to one of the most successful games of all time. In addition, "GTA V" will be released in March for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.
The first rumors about the next "Grand Theft Auto" surfaced back in July last year. It could go back to Vice City, but in modern times. There wasn't much more to read in the coffee grounds back then. Rockstar's official confirmation that the next "GTA" is in development doesn't change that. The studio did not mention a release date or title.
It was already known that the current part "GTA V" will be released for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. However, the original date in November 2021 could not be met. Now the time is supposed to come on March 15. The improvements include 4K resolution, HDR, ray tracing and 60 frames per second.
This means that "GTA V" has survived three console generations. It was released on September 17, 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
As a child, I wasn't allowed to have any consoles. It was only with the arrival of the family's 486 PC that the magical world of gaming opened up to me. Today, I'm overcompensating accordingly. Only a lack of time and money prevents me from trying out every game there is and decorating my shelf with rare retro consoles.
