Gears of War 4 - the third-party shooter enters the next round

A "Gears of War" game has already sold over 5 million copies worldwide. Now, the fourth instalment is the first game in the series to be released on Xbox One - and scores points with numerous features and the return of Horde multiplayer mode in version 3.0.
In the fourth instalment, you take on the role of JD Fenix and his friends Kait and Del, who have narrowly escaped an attack on their village. Nothing stands in the way of an action-packed and gory adventure (age rating: PEGI 18), as the protagonists soon realise that they are facing a monstrous new enemy that is attacking in waves as usual.
The game impresses with good, detailed textures and beautiful lighting effects, as well as a wonderful soundtrack by Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi.
"Gears of War 4" will be released on 11 October in the standard version and on 7 October as the Ultimate version, which includes the game (and Early Access), a steelbook, the multiplayer character "Vintage Del" and a Season Pass. The limited-edition console in red will also be available exclusively for pre-order on 7 October, as well as the controller in a matching colour, also individually.

Our review of GoW4

I’m passionate about observing the development of the digital environment – particularly when it comes to the countless exciting and interesting challenges and changes it has in store for our society, our everyday lives and businesses. Apart from that, gaming has been a part of my life since I first started out at Digitec Galaxus as well as IT in general, travelling, sports, concerts and good food.
