French has long been one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, and today it is the only one, along with English, to be present on all five continents. Ranked 5th in the world behind Mandarin, English, Spanish and Arabic (source: francophonie), French is an official language for a large number of international institutions (International Olympic Committee, United Nations Organisation, etc.). Let's not forget that the language of Molière is also one of Switzerland's four official languages. In fact, just over 20% of the Swiss population speaks French (source: BFS). Is this representative of our community?

At Digitec Galaxus, we are a team of nine qualified translators, including four into French. Stéphanie König, Jean-François Arnaud, Sophie Boissonneau and Anne Chapuis are in charge of translating German articles and texts into French. We share new content every day. But it's not always easy to write good copy when you don't know your readers.
We'd love to be able to help you with this. To do that, we'd love to know where you're from.

Francophones, dites-nous tout!

Even if we all speak French, we don't necessarily come from the same place. Where are you from? What do you have to tell us?

The competition has ended.

I left my native Savoy for beautiful Switzerland, where I live a life dominated by two big passions: sewing and shooting. Both in perfect Swiss German of course – thanks mum!
