The tactical shooter "Rainbow Six Siege" was chosen by you as the tournament game of the second digitec Playground. Now you can show what you've got. The registration pages are now open.
For the second digitec Playground, we have decided not to put "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" to the vote. This meant the loss of a major contender. Much to the delight of "Rainbow Six Siege", which already received many of your votes in the first cup. Nevertheless, it was not a walk in the park. There was headwind from the strategy classic "Age of Empires 2" and one of the most unusual e-sports titles of all: "Farming Simulator". However, with 18 per cent of the votes, the winner in the end was "Rainbow Six Siege".

The competition has ended.
Now it's time to put your money where your mouth is. The registration phase is now open. The PC version will be played.
Tournament procedure
digitec Playground consists of four qualifying rounds and a final this time. You register as a team of five players. The game is played according to the knockout principle. This means that as soon as your team loses, you are eliminated. The tournament takes place online. So you play from home. Due to the current situation regarding Covid-19, we will not be holding an offline final. We hope it will work out again next time.
The qualifying rounds are limited to 64 teams each. First come, first serve. The winners of the four qualifiers will advance to the final.
All participants must be 18 years old or be able to provide parental authorisation. In addition, at least three out of five players per team must either be resident in Switzerland or hold a Swiss identity card.
Prizes
Together with our partners Logitech and Asus, we will be able to present attractive prizes to the top three teams. As soon as the final details have been finalised, we will reveal the specific prizes.
Livestream
We will stream and commentate on the final of the four finalists live on 6 June.
Good luck!

Being the game and gadget geek that I am, working at digitec and Galaxus makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop – but it does take its toll on my wallet. I enjoy tinkering with my PC in Tim Taylor fashion and talking about games on my podcast http://www.onemorelevel.ch. To satisfy my need for speed, I get on my full suspension mountain bike and set out to find some nice trails. My thirst for culture is quenched by deep conversations over a couple of cold ones at the mostly frustrating games of FC Winterthur.
